Talc powder

Talc is hydrated magnesium silicate with the molecular formula of Mg₃[Si₄O₁₀](OH)₂. Its crystal is thin and lamellar forming, Its color ranges from white, pink, green to gray or black. Talc can be found in various grades, differed by purity, colour and lamellarity. It is the softest mineral and a good electric and thermal insulator that is neither flammable nor explosive. Talc has excellent physical and chemical properties such as lubricity, chemical inertness, natural hydrophobicity and lipophilicity, and it has good resistance to acids and bases.
